1st -click start then click on control panel then click performance and maintenance look at the top left corner there is a box called "see also" in that box you will see system restore--click on it and follow steps to restore back as far as you would like

use system restore, no problem.
When you turn your computer on the first screen gives you like 5 seconds to push the spacebar or something to fix problems, but make sure you have your restart disk in. THen you can pick how far back you wanna go!! good luck

Try restore
U need to create a restore point before restoring it but autuomatiaclly some restore points wil b created thtz not wen u needed it. so hav a habit of maintainin comp like run scandisk do disk defragmentation,and system restore ofcousre.........
Start, accessories,system restore: follow the instructions
Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore If you have created a checkpoint in System Restore you should be able to revert to that date.
