Help i internet explorer error?

ok every time i try to open up internet explorer it keep taking me to this page http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx i keep putting yahoo as my home page and everytime i open internet exp. it still goes to that page and there is nothing there it just says welcome and has internet explorer 7 in the corner can anybody figure this out oh and there is no large icons in my start menu there was before

start up in safe mode (F8)

go into the following folders and delete all the contents including folders in there

open windows explorer

kill everything in them, spare NONE !

C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Local Settings\Temp\*.*

- delete all files and folders in this directory !

C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\*.*

-----------------

- delete all files and folders in this directory !

and then empty RECYCLE BIN

After that scan for virus and spyware if u have the program/s.

Then restart in normal startup and see if this continues. If it does then I strongly and urgently request you to reinstall your Operating System

Then when u get connected to the net

nothing wrong with Internet explorer

had to use for VBScripting while i was school as a little kid (1973)

just it was assembled to understand to many other languages
forget internet explorer and go to firefox.com. Download firefox (its free) and enjoy your new found freedom. Because it is an open source program that is less widely used than IE it is attacked less and you will therefore have less problems.
