Make sure windows is up to date and your system is free of spyware/viruses, or you could try another web browser. I recommend Firefox. (its free)

update windows update.microsoft.com

To download firefox www.getfirefox.com
I find most of these problems are caused by add-ins installed in IE7.

Run Internet Explorer with no add-ons installed

Start - All Programs -Accessories -Systems Tools - Click on “Run Internet Explorer (no add-ons)” If IE runs ok you have one or more bad add-ons.

In IE tools - Programs - Click on “Manage Add-ons”. Disable all add-ons then restart. Enable one add-on and restart. If ok enable another add-on. Repeat until you find the add-on(s) that are causing the problem.

If this does not work you may need to reinstall IE7, uninstall IE7 with Ad/Remove programs. This will take you back to IE6.

Run Windows Live OneCare “Full Service Scan” http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/defau...

Reboot.

Reinstall IE7

To fix that error, the first place to check should be your computers registry files. For a simplistic definition, these files contain the instructions on how to operate the software and hardware on your computer. These Windows registry keys and files can begin to accumulate overtime and become corrupted and full of errors as software and hardware is added and removed from your computer. If these files get messed up in any way, then you will definitely encounter computer errors.

Alomst all computer errors (includes ie errors) can be fixed by repairing the registry files. You can check out

There is a step-by-step guide and error repair software to fix computer errors on that site.

Good luck!
