Keep getting error messages and can't access web sites after downloading the new Internet Explorer furnished by Yahoo. What is going on???

As has been widely reported, it's buggy. This doesn't really come as a surprise, since the betas were buggy, the release candidates were buggy, and Microsoft shoved it out the door anyway to beat Firefox 2.0 to launch. Not that this is anything unusual -- if I had a dollar for every program that any company launched as a bug-riddled mess to meet some rollout date imposed by the marketing department, I'd be rich. One would think that Microsoft would be able to do better, though.
The short version is that IE7 is buggy, and will be until the next Patch Tuesday at least. Possibly for years to come.
If you could give us more information on what error messages you're getting, and what websites you can't access, it might be possible to give you some more specific help.
Otherwise ... might I recommend Firefox 2 or Opera 9? Both are better than IE, have more features, are more secure, and most important at the moment, are less buggy.
